Getting Started
What is Pour Recall?
Pour Recall is a simple, judgment-free wine journal for real people who enjoy wine but don’t want to become wine experts. Snap a photo of the bottle, mark it thumbs up or thumbs down, add a quick note, and save it for later.
Where can I download it?
Pour Recall is available now on the App Store and Google Play. You can also use it on the web at http://www.pourrecall.app
Will it cost anything?
Pour Recall is free to download, and your first 5 logged wines are free. After that, a one-time payment of $2.99 unlocks unlimited logging forever. No subscriptions, no recurring fees.
How do I use it?
Take a photo of the bottle, choose thumbs up or thumbs down, add a quick note like “Costco” or “never again,” and find it later whenever you need it. Want a shortcut? Tap Scan Label and AI can fill in the wine name and type for you (see AI Label Scan below).
What are Pour Intentions?
Pour Intentions is your wish list: bottles you’ve heard about but haven’t tried yet. Each one shows the date you added it. Once you pour one, move it to Pour Choices with one tap. Your wish list is free and unlimited, and only wines you’ve actually poured count toward your 5 free pours.
AI Label Scan
What is AI Label Scan? AI Label Scan is an optional feature that reads your wine label for you. Snap a photo, tap Scan Label, and the wine name and type (Red, White, Rosé, or Sparkling) fill in automatically. No more typing long French château names with one hand while holding a glass in the other.
Do I have to use it? Never. AI Label Scan is completely optional. Typing in the wine name and tapping a wine type will always be available to everyone. At IFIO Girl, we know not everyone wants to use AI, and that’s okay. Pour your own way.
What happens to my photo? The first time you tap Scan Label, Pour Recall asks for your permission. If you tap Allow, your label photo is sent to OpenAI, a third-party AI service, only to read the wine name and type. Your name and email are never sent. If you tap Not Now, nothing is sent anywhere.
Can I change my mind? Anytime. Go to Account Settings and flip the AI Label Scan switch on or off.
What if the AI gets it wrong? AI isn’t perfect, especially with dim lighting, glare, curved bottles, or fancy script. Everything stays editable, so you can fix the name or tap a different type before you save your pour.Why use Pour Recall?
Why would I use Pour Recall?
Because your camera roll wasn’t built to remember wine. Pour Recall helps you save the bottles you loved, the ones you didn’t, and the little notes that matter later.
What should I use it for?
Dinners with friends. Vacations. Date nights. Girls’ nights. Gifts. Holidays. Ordinary Tuesdays. That bottle you loved. That bottle you never want to buy again.
Is this for wine experts?
Not at all. Pour Recall is for the rest of us no scores, no pressure, no fancy tasting language required. Just your own honest memory of what worked and what didn’t.
Troubleshooting
I can’t log in. What do I do?
Once you’ve downloaded the app, make sure you’re signing in with the same method you used to create your account -Apple, Google, or email. If you signed up with email and forgot your password, use the “Forgot Password” link on the sign-in screen.
Something in the app isn’t working.
We want to know about it. Email us at admin@ifiogirl.com and tell us what happened. The more detail, the better.
The app looks strange or isn’t loading correctly.
Try closing and reopening the app. Still seeing an issue? Email us at admin@ifiogirl.com and let us know what device you’re using and what screen you were on.
Your Privacy Policy
We know handing over your email and name takes a little trust. Pour Recall takes that seriously.
We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers. If you choose to use AI Label Scan, only your label photo is sent to OpenAI to read the wine name and type, and only after you say yes. We keep everything simple and transparent so you always know exactly what we have and why.
