When I first started building Pour Recall, I knew I was stepping into something completely new.
No technical background.
No roadmap.
Just an idea and a willingness to figure it out.
There were messy moments. Plenty of them.
But somewhere along the way, things started to shift.
What once felt impossible now feels learnable.
I’ve built features I never imagined I’d understand, like deep share linking, micro animations, user flows, and the countless little connections that make an app feel smooth and intuitive.
Pour Recall is currently in beta testing, and the feedback has been incredibly valuable. Real users are helping shape the next version, while I continue refining, polishing, and improving the experience.
I’m no longer in the messy middle.
I’m in the phase where details matter.
Where confidence grows.
Where the product starts looking and feeling real.
Pour Recall was created to help everyday people remember the wines they enjoy without the complexity of traditional wine apps.
And just like the app itself, I’m learning that progress doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
Be brave. Not Perfect – Reshma Saujani
