A few months ago, I didn’t even know what WordPress was. Today, I’m launching ifiogirl.com – a website I built entirely by myself at 60 years old!
As someone who had zero web development experience just months ago, this has been quite the journey. Every page, every feature, every design choice – I figured it out myself.
It wasn’t easy. Countless Google and YouTube searches, trying to understand some basic computer language, and moments when I wanted to throw in the towel. But IFIO (I Figured It Out) with my own determination!
The IFIO Spirit Lives On
This website is proof that the “I’ll Figure It Out” attitude can take on technology at any age. Every time I hit a roadblock I’d say “IFIO” – then go back into research (google, youtube, AI) mode.
Didn’t know how to create a navigation menu? IFIO. Couldn’t figure out why my images weren’t loading properly? IFIO. Go Daddy domain transfer – You guessed it – IFIO!
That mindset and each small victory built my confidence for the next challenge.
This website isn’t just proof that age is just a number when it comes to learning new tech skills – but the right attitude and determination can turn any “I don’t know how”, “tech is confusing” into “I’ll figure it out”
Ready to see what this 60-year-old first-time developer created?
Please check out ifiogirl.com and share your thoughts! I’d love your feedback and any advice for this brand-new web developer. I’m working with basic WordPress (which has its limitations), and several pages are still under construction – but as I say daily, it all starts with “I’ll Figure It Out.”
